Health Care Data Analyst

SKILLS REQUIRED: Basic understanding the CQI process. Ability to perform statistical analysis. Broad understanding of diverse software applications and the ability to program, coordinate and relate information between programs such as MS SQL. Working knowledge of Crystal Reports. Basic understanding of HEDIS helpful. Basic knowledge of ICD9 and CPT codes a plus. Strong analytical and problem solving capabilities. Demonstrated ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects. Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to function interdependently in a teaming environment.

RESPONSIBILITIES: Perform regular data/outcome reporting including but not limited to; HEDIS, DSM, MDCH, Utilization Management, Performance Improvement, NCQA indicators, Provider profiles, etc. Responsible for creating, interpreting, analyzing and presenting database reports. Perform ad hoc specialized reporting as required to meet organizational information needs. Participate on GVHP interdisciplinary teams to assist business units in understanding and applying quality information gained from data analysis. Perform monthly, quarterly, semi annual, or annual reports, including analysis and data distribution. Create and maintain data base reporting. Work with Information Services to resolve issues related to customized systems. Prepare reports for external auditors. Perform special projects as required.
