GVHP Ranked #4 for the 2nd Consecutive Year! (Thursday November 12, 2009 @ 12:46AM)

For the 2nd consecutive year, Grand Valley Health plan (GVHP) has been ranked fourth in commercial health plans by the U.S. News & World Report/ NCQA America’s Best Health Insurance Plans rankings. The 2009-10 rankings, places GVHP in fourth place in the top 50 published by the magazine; 239 Commercial Health Plans submitted data for consideration. This is the fifth consecutive year that GVHP has been named among the top 50. Grand Valley Health Plan is also once again recognized as the highest ranked commercial health plan in the State of Michigan.

In responding to the announcement, Pam Silva, GVHP’s Chief Operating Officer said, “We are thrilled. Being recognized is further affirmation of our commitment to providing quality healthcare to our Members and Patients”. Each year U.S. News & World Report and NCQA collaborate to rank the nation’s health plans based on member satisfaction, access to care, prevention and treatment. The 2009-10 America’s Best Health Insurance Plans* rankings will be featured in the December issue of U.S. News & World Report, which will be at newsstands on Tuesday, December 1.
