June Classes > Couch to 5K/Run & Walk Program

Class Description Lead by Grand Valley Health Coaches, this Running and Walking program meets on Tuesdays and Thursdays for 14 weeks from 6:30-7:30p at Riveside Park, Boat Launch #2. This program is for individuals who want to join an organized running or walking group or who may have an interest of completing a 5K Run or Walk. No previous running or 5K experience necessary. Training sessions of 20-30 minutes with additional time for warm up and cool down. For those interested in the 5K, the program concludes with the 2013 Bridge Run on Sunday, September 15, 2013 (registration fee required) ,,,,,,,,,,,,
Special Notes This program meets on Tuesday and Thursday at 6:30-7:30p. Participants are responsible for training 1d/wk on their own. Presently we plan to meet at Riverside Park. It is recommended that participants bring water, sunscreen and insect repellent, wear athletic shoes, and dress for the weather. An orientation meeting will take place on 6/11 or 6/13 at BHC at 6:30p.m.
