Designed to teach you, before your baby arrives, the necessary skills to have a healthy and enjoyable breastfeding experience. One night only. Member is asked to bring a doll or stuffed animal to class to use during class.
In this class, participants will learn how to recognize and give care to a child and infant experiencing a cardiac emergency. Participants will also learn what to do for choking and breathing emergencies. Upon successful completion of the class, a certificate for Basic Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) will be issued from the American Red Cross. The course uses a textbook, requires hands on skill sessions and a written test.
There are many ways to quit smoking, but this program is the "cold turkey" method. The program does not advocate cutting down or tapering off. Participants have opportunities to practice alternatives to smoking before "Quit Day."
The success of this program depends on the participants' goals and willingness to work at the program. It is important that participants accept the principles offered and stick with them. The more closely the program is followed, the better the chances for success.
This class is for couples who have previously completed a childbirth class. Each class lasts approximately two hours, one hour with lecture/information, one hour with breathing technique.
